Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This policy explains when a licence purchased on Iptoria can be refunded or cancelled. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to payments processed through Xendit and our other payment providers.
1. Digital licences are final
A licence grants immediate, digital rights to use IP for merchandising. Because those rights are delivered instantly and cannot be “returned”, all sales are generally final and non-refundable once the licence is issued, except in the limited cases below or where a refund is required by applicable law.
2. When you may be eligible for a refund
You may request a refund if:
- you were charged more than once for the same licence (duplicate transaction);
- payment was taken but the licence was not issued or delivered due to a technical error;
- the transaction was unauthorised or fraudulent and reported promptly;
- the listing was materially misrepresented, or the Licensor was not entitled to license the IP and the licence is therefore invalid.
3. What is not refundable
- change of mind after a valid licence has been issued;
- failure to use the licence, or production/business decisions made after purchase;
- use of the IP outside the licensed scope (which is a breach, not a ground for refund);
- non-refundable platform or payment-processing fees, except where the whole transaction is reversed.
4. How to request a refund
Email support@iptoria.qmodo.co within 14 days of the charge, including your account email, the transaction or licence reference, and a description of the issue. We may ask for supporting information to review the request.
5. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Xendit or the relevant provider. The time to appear in your account depends on that provider and your bank, and is typically several business days. Refunds may be net of irrecoverable payment-processing fees. Where a Licensor payout has already been made, a refund may be recovered from the Licensor.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel a licence before it is issued (for example, while a negotiation or collaboration request is still pending) at no charge. After a licence is issued, cancellation is subject to the refund rules above. You can also stop future activity by not renewing a term-based licence.
7. Chargebacks & disputes
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may lead to a temporary hold or suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks we believe are invalid.
